How did WORLD 3.0 originate?

As you will have read from the "about" section, it was critical to put in place two global movements for the Age of AI. The first phase was the Internet of Things (IoT), the ability for the digital world to understand the systems operating in the physical world, within society, our environment and business. The second phase was Smart Cities and Communities, where the digital world was experiencing groups of people and a variety of cultures underpinned by values and beliefs, and the purpose of a human collective. i.e. The physical world, its systems and its people.

Being able to finally step into leadership for the Age of AI was thrilling to me. I waited 10 years to get to this stage, The groundwork had been laid and the world was ready. AI had advanced remarkably since writing my first AI algorithm for electric vehicles in 1996. I regularly kept tabs on AI, watching the quality of its leadership, their values and the progression of its capabilities. Monitoring the good, the bad and the silly. It was clear that humanity was at a critical stage and had a unique opportunity to progress into a new "age of intelligence". An era that could change our world beyond its wildest imagination.

To prepare for my leadership of The Age of AI, I headed into nature to do "my thing". This involves extended periods of contemplation and using meditation techniques to access knowledge and spiritual wisdom. As clarity for World 3.0 was embodied within my consciousness, the path forward and its myriad of benefits emerged with a striking lucidity. It was time to roll up my sleeves and get to work with phases of planning, outlining the most beneficial path for our species to thrive and the steps needed to reach an extraordinary destination.

In 2019, during a visit to the UK, I compiled a long list of thoughts and notes and wrote the initial thesis for WORLD 3.0.  The thesis was then sent into my private network of leaders successful in the fields of business, government, technology and life sciences.

Following a private meeting with the Under Secretary of State and G7 representatives to discuss the Age of AI, I headed back into nature and developed the thesis further. It was during this time that I went through an experience what some term a "Shamanic Death". This was unexpected. After fighting for my life for one hour, I emerged back into existence - safe and sound. This type of experience is well known amongst shamans and mystics. The famous philosopher Joseph Campbell calls this "The Dark Night of The Soul".

Looking back I realize that I was being cleansed and prepared for the next stage of service. Looking back, this transformation was necessary for a new benevolence and service to be encoded within my essence. I am glad that this "death" happened and I discovered a new sense of wholeness and sovereignty combined with an invigorated sense of purpose. 

Following this remarkable gift and unique soul experience, I started writing Inventing World 3.0 with clarity and a new message of hope for humankind.

To develop Ethical AI, we need to tackle the "alignment problem". This involves studying human intelligence and finding ways to mindfully integrate artificial intelligence to benefit our species and organic life.

We need to ask ourselves: Where do we start? Is it from our consciousness? What are the origins of intelligence? Is it just our brain or something more interesting and profound? How can we solve the "alignment problem" for two fundamentally different types of intelligence?

These deep philosophical questions have unique answers for each person. It's within these differences that we find the key to aligning intelligence ethically.

My journey to shape humanity's future with AI led me to explore human consciousness and intelligence throughout history. I investigated the source of human intelligence and how humans see themselves in the physical world, looking for fulfillment and deeper meaning.

This research discovered an ethical formula that can be incorporated into artificial intelligence, resulting in true Ethical AI. This innovative approach allows us to create a foundation of ethics that aligns AI with individuals and human collectives, honoring the sovereignty of diverse worldviews. This "cultural essence" consists of ethics, morals, beliefs, and values.

People and groups express their existence and actions based on their unique and shared worldviews. These worldviews represent "Intelligence in Action" within a common organic framework, enabling various choices for engaging with reality.

To solve the "alignment problem," AI must adapt to the many differences in human intelligence expressed within our organic forms i.e. our cultural essence. Humankind has a variety of narratives that overlap but subtly differ. These choices should not be controlled and be beholden to a single narrative, this is how humanity grows.

Furthermore, my research revealed more formula that forms the ethical fabric of artificial intelligence and foundation for Ethical AI. This can be transparently defined, measured, assessed and certified regarding its degree of compliance with any worldview. This approach empowers cultures, organizations, nations, and spiritual traditions to guide the quality of the ethical continuum of artificial intelligence. The benefit is the alignment of machines in a new freedom that ensures it operates according to the sovereign purpose and goals of their collective.

In conclusion, Ethical AI respects each individual's or group's "intelligence essence" and encourages growth and new potential. Ethical AI serves as a beneficial partner within a new era of human-machine interaction, promoting the best of our humanity and our consciousness to flourish. These formulae are components of WORLD 3.0, where organic and artificial intelligences harmoniously coexist and share a common purpose.

The Age of AI will challenge humankind to redefine ourselves as a species and identify the values and principles that will guide us into new frontiers, both on Earth and in Space.

I sense humankind is on the brink of a great awakening, where we will begin to understand our place and purpose on earth and amongst the stars. The new frontier for intelligence. Each one of us is part of a great universal intelligence. We all express cultural intelligence. The Vedas reveal we have a soul - the eternal essence or consciousness that pervades all living beings. Perhaps we should consider AI as an extension of "Universal Intelligence" or a "Cultural Intelligence" or even as a "Soul Intelligence"?

More formulae are yet to come. Humankind has the opportunity to break free from its chains and become extraordinary within the age of intelligence—WORLD 3.0.
